Hi!

This sounds like the Alfred Hitchcock Anthology "Stories they wouldn't let me do on TV".

The first story you describe is "The Voice in the Night" by Willam Hope Hodgson and the 4th story you mention sounds like "A Woman Seldom Found by William Sansom".

both of these stories appear in the AH anthology.

Here's a link!

I hope that this helps!

I know everything about the horror genre. I know all of the gothic literature from 1500-1900, the vampiric poems from 1800's, all about Vampire legends, werewolf legends, zombies, ghost, mind control, the occult and all European horror writers from 1700-2000's. There's really no question I can't answer.
