AboutAaron Smith Expertise I have been a horror movie fan since I was allowed to watch them. I have all the Halloween films memorized as well as Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, et al. I'm first in line on a new horror movie opening, including Freddy Vs. Jason, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), Wrong Turn. Trust me with your questions involving Horror and I promise I will not dissapoint. Throw any type of horror question at me and I will try 100% to answer it, otherwise I will point you into the direction of one the other honorable volunteers that may be able to.
Experience I have been watching horror movies ever since I was allowed. Im the only crazy person who actually has "Halloween 3: Season of the Witch" which proves I love horror films. My knowledge spans from the 80's to present.
Organizations I am already volunteering in Action & Adventure flicks at this site and I am branching out to more topics in order to help you guys out more.
Question Ive been hearing about a new friday 13th soon but I also hear different story lines each time. Ive heard its gonna be a remake then I hear its gonna have a back story bringng in Jasons father(witch would answer alot unanswered questions) I heard its just gonna be another sequel. Have you heard anything on any of this? And when it can be expected? Oh yea and can you for heavens sakes tell me what the raeson was for turning Jason into a little boy at the end of Jason takes Manhatten? I just dont get it.
Thank you so much.
Answer To be honest there hasnt been much surrounding the friday the 13th remake/prequel/reimagining, only that it should get made soon. All that you said should be considered a rumor until an official announcement has been made. I believe it could be released in 2008. I do know that it is going to go back to the roots of what Jason is, and not the corny sequels. It is going to explain why Jason is who he is. Its going to be made by those who made Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003, which is Platinum Dunes. Should be interesting.
As for why did Jason turn into a little boy at the end of Jason takes Manhattan, all I can figure is one of the characters in the movie knew the story of Jason drowning as a little boy therefore the character probably thought back to the story. Confusing? well I thought it was out of place and made no sense.
