Question
hello Lyn. may i know the benefits of cantering a horse both for the rider and the horse?

Answer
Rohit,

Aside from being pleasurable for both of you it's good, cardiovascular exercise for your horse and helps build stamina and increase respiratory capabilities.  Ridden correctly it can provide mild exercise for the rider.  Posting a good working trot is more strenuous exercise for the rider than riding a canter. A gallop, like Thoroughbred racehorses on the track do is very different to ride from a canter.
