Question
hello. my friend a groom at our local racetrack told me that while he was hand walking a horse, he told me that it would going to be a good performer at races. when i asked him the reason, he told me that it walks fast while hand walking. is my friend correct?

Answer
Rohit,

I worked on the racetracks here in the US for years.  I can't say that I ever noticed that.  Some of the best horses I know sauntered along when being hand walked and horses that were not particularly good performers dragged you around.  This is his opinion and not one I would agree with.
