Horses/distance covered by horse in 1/2 hour

hello. in general, how much distance does a horse cover trotting at normal pace for 1/2 hour? tell me roughly.

A little depends upon the horse's speed.  My Standardbred mare has a working trot of 10 mph and will cover 5 miles in a half hour.  The average horse has a working trot of about 7 - 8 mph.  Based on that figure that the horse would cover between 3 and 4 miles in a half hour.  The terrain will also figure into the speed.  On a level, smooth surface like a road the pace will be more consistent than if a horse is working on rough terrain or in deep footing like sand or mud.

Hope this answers your question.
