Subject: marigolds are all gone

Question
QUESTION: My marigolds are all gone NO DEER and NO RABBITS.  The peat containers were not disturbed either.  What likes unblooming marigolds?

ANSWER: Daisey,
First question where are you located?

Carefully scrape the soil back away from the plant, and look for a black worm (larva), you may need to look at several plants before finding it.

Answer
Daisey,
Interesting.  IS there anything left to photograph? Was the entire plant gone or just part of the above ground material?  I can't imagine they are very tasty.
Send the photo to me at dale@softley.com, take it at the highest resolution you can.
