Prashant: Yes photosynthesis is critical to most forms of life as we know it.  The conversion of carbon dioxide to sugar and starch is what keeps us going.  I am not sure just what answer you are looking for. Please refine you question. But yes photosynthesis I critical.  The more healthy plants we have the more oxygen we have.
