Question
Does stooling work with rhododendron? What kinds of plants lend themselves to stooling?

Answer
Hi Janet,

Yes, but I would do it during the dormant period in winter.  Most shrubs can be propagated by stooling.

The above is a good article on plant propagation from NCSU, which includes instructions on Mound layering.

Thanks,
Susan
