Question

Answer
Beatrice,

You did not tell me anything about how you are caring for this plant so the best I can do is guess at what it's problems might be. For starters outdoors this plant needs medium to full sun. Indoors it needs to be directly in front of a south, east or west window with the windo covering open from dawn to dusk, no drapes or blinds even partly closed. It is not a palm meant to be an indoor palm as it will eventually become 20 feet tall slowly. Most likely your biggest problem is it is not getting enough light but it coulc also be too much water. If you repotted it you should have only put it in a pot no more than 2 inches larger than the old pot. You should be very careful not to overwater it and never leave it sit with water in the drain tray for more than 1 hour. The roots will rot easily which can cause yellow leaves.  If you have more questions feel free to write again. Good luck.

Darlene
