Question While helping a friend in her garden, a long piece of the ground cover, apentia,
hearts and flowers broke off.
Will it root if I put it in soil?? What's the best way to grow it now as a container
pant?
Answer Uma,
Yes, you can root it in the ground. You can cut it in 3 or 4 pieces but you need to make sure you keep track of which end went towards the ground and make sure that is the end that you put in the ground to root. You will need to remove the lowest leaves off of each cutting and insert that into the soil. They should root in a couple of weeks. You can easily put the cuttings in a pot of potting soil instead of in the ground. It will become a nice vine. I know it as ice plant in this area. Good luck with it.
