I really appreciated Darlene's answer, since I recently got this plant as a gift/ didn't know the name and sort of freaked out when the leaves folded up at night... I soon realized it did it every night, opening and standing tall in the morning (when the light comes into the room).. now I'm doubly reassured about why this is and how to best care for my new plant.  Thanks again!
