I too have the same issue. My plant is definitely a ponytail palm & since I took it out to get some summer sun, it has been collecting dead flies to the underside of the fronds. Not sure why!

Very strange. My Ponytail Palm also has dead flies on the bottom of the leaf tips. There just dried up carcasses with no wings. I'm stumped. Guess they get stuck and died maybe. Glad to know it happened to someone else.
