Question I've been working in a clothing store for over 6months an have been underpaid, i ask other employees if it was happening to them,an it has, I got in contact with the area manger an she said the rest of my pay would come in within a couple of days, it did but only half of it. It also happended to the other employees. I've been trying to contact her ever since but she wont answer her phone or messages. I have no idea what my rights are
Answer Emma,
When you say "underpaid", what exactly do you mean?
A- the employer promised you $ 14 per hour and only paid you $10
B- The employer is paying you the right amount, but is shorting you each week for some reason
C- The employer is not calculating your pay correct for overtime or for the amount of taxes being withheld
D- The employer is hving money trouble. They calculate your check correctly, but only give you some of the money you are owed and wait to sell more clothes before paying up
E- something else?
Please explain in detail your situation and give a clearer idea of what is happening there.
I look forward to trying to help after I better understand the details.
Thanks,
Brian
