be another course apart from mba hr. kindly help.
Answer Employment Law. You never know how much you will need this until you have a career in Human Resources. You need to know that the laws are for Payroll, Pension, who the governing authorities are and all the legislation pertaining to this this subject.
Yes you touch on FLSA, FMLA, ERISA and others in your Human Resource class, but you need more in depth studies in the Employment Law sector. This is what I would recommend.

Other alternative course which may be of interest and provide help in a Human Resource career would be
Accounting which I use daily and is much help in figuring compensation and in payroll also in budgeting and taxes. You will use a lot of Accounting and financial information in Human Resources
Communications which is used every day in every facet of Human Resources. You must communicate with employees, management, the IRS, Insurance and Pension vendors.
Business Writing would also benefit you as much of your communication will be written. Also you must write handbooks and policies for the company as well as fliers for company events. A good writing course would make it much easier for you.
