Human Resources/H1b visa for HR jobs in California

Hi Shirley,
Right now I'm on H4 (dependent) visa. Back in India I graduated in business administration, post grad in shipping in logistics, worked for 2 years with a logistic provider.

Now I'm with my spouse in Bay Area. I would like to switch career and enter into HR field. I'm going to join Certification program in Human Resource Management from UC Berkeley Extension. Can this only certification help me in landing a job in HR? Will I be able to get H1b visa based on such degree/job? Will there be any employer to file my H1b IF I'm sponsoring for the same?

If I go for SHRM certification (step by step), is it going to help me land a job?

Thank you for your precious time..
Eagerly awaiting your response..

The H1b Visa is for specialized employment for a company. It usually requires a bachelor's degree and specialized training. I am not sure that HR would qualify for H1b status. I would check with immigration before embarking on a career that might not quality.

Here is some information on the H1b qualifications:

As far as getting a job after training that is something which I cannot answer. Everyone is looking for a job these days and jobs are hard to find. If you are lucky you can find one right away after training, but probably it will take a while to find a job after training.
