Can an employee claim unemployment benefits even after receiving severance payment from a company after being terminated involuntarily? Or can the employee claim unemployment only after the severance period ends?


I am unsure of the New York Unemployment laws on this topic as they might relate to the DETAILS of your severance pay, how long it lasts, the maount, etc.....
