Question
Dear Umesh

Is the Probation period of Six months universal in labour laws?.

Thanks
Prashant

Answer
Dear Prashant,

It depends upon company to company. Some keep probation of six months and some keep for three. According to law employee who has served for 240 days is a confirmed employee and less than 240 days employee is deemed to be on probation.
