I am attending the University of Pennsylvania. I have done many internships and done research alongside professors. Do you think that in addition to this experience, most employers will be impressed with UPenn? Will most recognize it as a prestigious/ivy league school? I'm just wondering this because there some people I know who are not familiar with the school.

One good way to assure yourself that you have made a good choice is to do some web research to collect data that supports your topic.  Here are a couple of things I found.

In this survey, , your university was ranked #2 out of 107 higher education institutions in PA.  

And, in another by US News, U of PA ranked 9th among national universities. .

So you made a great choice and you can surmise that most significant employers will well know the Univ. of PA. And, when you apply for a job, you can use data regarding the Univ. of PA. to educate you target employer or audience.  

Regarding the use of data:  Properly researched and understood and presented, data is always a valuable way to make your point.  You should carry that forward into your studies and career.  It is hard to argue with good data. And it is so easy to find these days, one just needs to be cautious of the source, quality and timeliness of the information.

I have extensive experience with and working in domestic and international organization matrix structures. In the Asia Pacific region, my responsibilities included, leading the regions H.R. team and processes, managing the H.R. relationship with the corporation, creating and leading the professional and general manager development programs, China’s university relations program and managing the Asia Pacific key leader’s process. In Summary, my career responsibility included more than 60,000 employees, 60 union and union free operations, and 45 countries. I also lived in Korea for two years while in service with the USA’s armed forces.
