Question i dont know if this is the right place, but it's the closest i can get..
minumum wage just got passed to $7.15, 3 weeks before that i got a raise from $6.75 to $7.00, then minumum wage went up.. i lost the raise and am making as much as all others at McDonalds,
my question is, when wages go up, am i supposed to get my raise on top of the raise from wages being hired?
because my friend started 6 months ago, i started 9, and he is making more then me because he got a raise after wages went up..
can you help me out here?
Answer Greetings Brian, and thanks for your question. Unfortunately, this is not my area of expertise. I tend to think common sense would be in your favor though. You might try the Dept of Labor, http://www.dol.gov/compliance/topics/wages-minimum-wage.htm
They have a hotline at the end of the page, and a lot of web resources that may help.
