Question
I have a friend that has been a quad for last the 12 years. He was an
avid hunter before his accident and really loves to hunt and can't
anymore so I would like to find a way to get him hunting again. I  need
help in acquiring modified equipment that he needs to hunt again. If you
have any advice in obtaining this type of equipment would be greatly
appreciated . thank you very much. You can contact me at this e-mail
address justritearcher @ yahoo.com or you can respond to to this
address.

Answer
This is a more complicated question than can be answered well on the interent, but the upshot is this.  You need to find out what sort of accomodations your state fish & game dept. will make for him.  An example of what I mean is that in most states you can't shoot from a vehicle.  You might find out if he can get an exemption.  That would allow you to build a blind in the bed of a truck for example.  You didn't mention if he had any muscle control at all below his neck.  If not, you might be able to build a trigger device that is fired using an electrical switch with a gun in a vise or mounted to a ball swivel.  You first need to find out exactly what muscle actions he has, and work from that.  One final thing I'll mention is that even if it does prove too dificult to rig up a gun, he would still no doubt enjoy just going out in the woods for a day with a buddy.  Take care he is kept warm.

Good luck!
