Hunting - Animals for Taxidermy

Expert: chris stockton - 8/30/2009

Question
Mr. Stockton, I'm not a hunter, but am interested in taxidermy. If I'm not hunting down the game myself, then where can I find game to use? Is there a place to buy dead animals? Thank you, Alicia

Answer
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I have been on hunting trips. Now as far as you wanting something to mount, yes and no on your question.  You can't buy dead animals, but you can buy hides to mount. First check with your local taxadermy, they sometimes have extra hides, some will just give you, but if that doesn't work, go oline to Carolina Fur and call them, they always sell hides. Good luck to you and let me know how it goes.
