I've got a border collie husky mix who's 11. He's been extremely relaxed/laid back since he came to live with me when he was 6 months old. He's been a gentleman, good hunter, and as a puppy tended to wander and play. But most of the time he just lays around. there have been times when he is so still and quiet that I thought maybe he was dead. I could lift a limb and let it drop and he would not even look up or tense. Nothing causes him to get uptight. He's been a total joy to live with. Be happy you have such a sweet relaxed dog.

I have a border Collie mixed with a husky, he is 1 right now.

We got "Pepper" (him) at 5 months old.

Dont worry, this should be common for the breed. Our dog is EXACTLY the same. he sleeps almost all the time, very laid back. but he can be excited and run around our neighborhood. He likes to run off and be stubborn a lot. but to get to the point, your  fine. my dog is the same

You should love this dog.  This spring we had to put our 13 yo husky/border collie cross to sleep.  I miss him so much.  He was the best dog ever.  He wasn't overly hyper even when he was young- he was a pup when we got him.  He loved playing fetch and sitting on my lap and was my shadow.  He did like to chase cars and chickens though so we ended up having to leash him.  An electronic fence didn't work much for him because of his thick neck fur.  But he was so well behaved in the house.  Hopefully its nothing but a laid back behavior.
