Hi,

I've had dogs all my life but this is my first husky. I was scared about what would happen that he would be just a mean destructive dog. Well one part is true he is destructive, my dog enjoys carpet. He has eaten two different areas of carpet in my house. But that's really it. I had no problem teaching him how to sit, come, stay, and etc.... I especially had no trouble teaching him to walk on the lead. I thought that he would pull and drag me down the street because I am only 14. But he never even walked in front of me. He walks right along side me every where I take him. Also I have two Chihuahuas in my house that are more dominant than my husky. He loves them. I have never had any trouble with him and my other two. My Chihuahuas keep him in line all the time and he has no problem with them coming up and giving him a little nip. Even my 14 year old male Chihuahua. He also loves cats! He is great with any type of animal and person. He especially loves little kids. So I can honestly tell you he is the most non-dominant dog I have ever owned and the sweetest. I got my husky when he was a little older than 6 months old and he had been abused before that. So problems he has are just not the normal ones I guess you could say. But I love him and it truly all depends on temperament with what you have a hard time with. I was lucky to get such a loving sweet one. But I really don't recommend them to first time owners and people with little patience and time.
