Question I read your answer of 10/28/2004 about the difference between hypnosis and subliminals. You indicated that they are similar and that to do hypnosis you need to be in an altered state.
My question is based on that statement; if I put a subliminal suggestion in a brain wave entrainmant recording that is designed to put my brain in the same state of hypnosis, is this subliminal now the same thing as self hypnosis?
Thank you
Answer Hello Richard -
If I understand your question correctly, the answer is SURE ... as long as your adding the suggestion doesn't interfere with the wave entrainment. I don't have the technical expertise to know that ... but if the entrainment still works, then I'm sure it'll be fine. One the other hand, if the entrainment is effective and produced a hypnotic state, I'm not sure that the subliminal is required since hypnosis is established.
