Question I saw an Ad from Ronald B. Gorayeb that Hyponis will remove unwanted cravings, reduce consumption of sweets and help you loose weight easily, as much as 30-120 pounds.
I am concerned if I go to this session, will there be any side effects or will they do some hypnosis that I may not be aware of (negative or something wrong?). I am really interested in weight loss, and have been working hard (but difficult to achieve due to snacking and sweet tooth).
Answer Hello Kavita -
I've heard Ron Gorayab's name before, but don't really know much about him so I can only comment in general terms rather on this particular individual.
If I understand, you are talking about a group session somewhere, rather than a one on one meeting with a hypnotist.
It is true that hypnosis CAN remove unwanted cravings and that some people CAN lose weight easily with hypnosis through such programs. But everyone is unique and different people experience hypnosis differently. When working with private individual clients a hypnotist must adjust his approach and his technique to the specific individual. Different people have different weight related issues ... some are late night snackers, some are compulsive overeaters, some have "sweet tooth", some have metabolism issues, some need more exercise, etc and so a hypnotist in private sessions will usually do an extensive interview to determine the suggestions to give, etc.
In a group, the work is done in a more "general" fashion and in my experience it can be very helpful for some and not so effective with others. Ronald Gorayeb seems to have considerable expereince with this group format and he may be able to really incorporate many of the possibilites and offer something of value to most of his audience. And I belive that the fee is considerably lower than what you would pay for a private session, so why not give it a shot? At least it will be an interesting evening and at best it just might make a real difference for you.
As far as side effects go, I really wouldn't be concerned. Hypnosis can't be used (in spite of what you've seen on TV) to make peple do anything they wouldn't normally be willing to do in the first place. You have to WANT it to work and you have to WANT the specific results that you're going for. If Ron were doing anything dangerous or unscupulous he would have been caught nad ruined long before now .... as he's been doing this for MANY Years.
I feel quite confident that it's perfectly safe and that it just may be the thing you need to assist you in acheiving your goals.
