When one becomes overweight it generally will be because of one of two reasons, a biological health problem, or an emotional issue that leads to the desire for food intake. The first step in dealing with this issue should be a visit to a physician to seek any physical health problems that may be causing the weight increase.
If your physician finds no physical problems that may be causing your excess weight, then your problem most likely will be excessive eating.
Now the primary question becomes, WHY? Why the desire to eat? One does not eat excessively due to hunger. So what is causing a person to have such a desire to eat? This is the question that must be answered. The answer is that it is usually caused by an unresolved emotional issue. And the best way to find that answer and deal with it, is through analytical hypnotherapy.
The results are usually permanent when the work is done properly by a trained hypnotherapist. This has been an established belief of professional hypnotherapists and they have also found that direct suggestion alone (suggestions of less appetite and such) will in most cases not lead to a permanent solution.
A permanent solution can best be achieved by finding the emotional cause for that excessive eating. Direct suggestions while in hypnosis will not achieve this, as the desire will be masked for a short time, but remain permanently in the subconscious mind.
I highly recommend anyone to do a bit more research into this modality of therapy. I believe it to be the BEST, bar none.
