I did an education as a Management Assistant in Informatics, I am using ICQ since ICQ2000b, but of course I know the current ICQ client the best. I also used the alpha ComPad ICQ client.

Question
Ok both my brother and me have been a avid 2003b icq user since it came out because of the ease of use and file transfer without all the garbage and ads, well that quit working awhile back and have been reading that i am not alone on that.. so installed icq 6.5 and the file transfer option is all shaded so here again unable to transfer files.. i understand about port forwarding etc.. why is the new icq 6.5 unable to send files? its all shaded

Did you install it from an adminitrator account?`And are you sure you didn't run it as a guest?

A guest has less privileges

Uninstall it and reinstall it from an administrator account!
