I did an education as a Management Assistant in Informatics, I am using ICQ since ICQ2000b, but of course I know the current ICQ client the best. I also used the alpha ComPad ICQ client.

ICQ - Cannot receive a file transfer in icq 6.5

Question
I can send files thru ICQ, but I cannot receive a file transfer thru ICQ. I have give ICQ full access thru my firewall and check my router (WTR54G). What are the port settings that my router needs to me on.

Hello John!

Thanks for your question.

By default if both parties use ICQ6.5 it should automatically re-direct the dtraffic through ICQ servers if direct connection is not possible. Please notice that this doesn't work if the other party uses an ICQ clone client or an older version of ICQ.

Since every router is operated differently, I cannot give you detailed step-by-step instructions, best is your refer to the manual or ask Linksys support.
