Question I know it was developed for windows live messenger. But I was wondering if there's a device driver that will allow me to patch it to Yahoo messenger of Skype.. Because the software detects the Philips 4331b as microphone or speaker system in the options settings.. just that there's no sound coming out. Maybe a device driver might help. Anyone know?
Answer Personally I have never tried it. However, most of these devices simply work as a USB headset. That means they are generic windows devices that will work with any application. You will need to tell your system to use it for voice calls. Thats in the sound setup of your application (e.g. skype, yahoo, etc.)
The harder part would be getting the dial pad to work with all applications. You may have to type the number in by hand on the computer and once it is ringing you can talk as normal on the handset.
For $15-19 it might be easier just to try it out and if it does not work, take it back for a refund.
