IP Telephony/Internet based camera

Question
I plan to buy a vacation home 2000 miles away from my primary residence. I want to set up 1 or more cameras at the vacation home, that I can view on my computer from home. Can I do this without having a DVR or a computer at the vacation home ? Can I view 1 or more cameras with a high speed internet connection and a modem at the vacation home ? If not, what else would I need in order to do this without a dvr or computer at the vacation home ?
Thank you,

Answer
Yes, this is possible. The simplest system to deploy and use is one from this range of products:

There are other vendors on the market, but I can recommend these as I have personally used them.

Please note: If I understood you correctly, you will have a dial-up modem at the vacation home, right? This modem will need to be setup to dial on demand or be permanently connected to the internet for any of these systems to work (regardless of vendor).

It will be hard to get a system working that only has your holiday home go "online" over dial-up just at the moment you would like to check in on it. That would require much more effort.
