Question
Hello sir,
How mechanical energy (from turbines) is converted into electrical energy while generating electric current?

Answer
Hi Vijay,
The principle is just same as how the Lights glow in all automobiles: the rotation of shaft is coupled with a coil wound on eloctromagnetic material and induction causes the current in the secondary. This is in simple the principle. All Hydro Electric projects convert the waterfall into rotation and convert through turbines using the same principle.
Cheers/GTRao
