IT and Business Architecture/Triple Fuel Source Input Automobile.

Dear Royden

Is it possible to design and manufacture a Triple Fuel Source Input Automobile that can run on Petrol, Diesel as well as CNG (Gasoline) ?.

What are the limitations factors for constructing the same ?.

Petrol, Diesel and CNG Engine have to be constructed within the Automobile ?.e three engines. This could be a difficult system to implement ?.
There will be three different source fuel inputs one for petrol, one for diesel and one for gasoline example engine front, left and right rear ?.
Cost factor for the automobile will increase ?.
Will it become a complex automobile to be constructed ?.
Among a Four wheeler viz Car, Truck, Bus etc and Two wheeler viz Motorcycle, Scooter etc , which will be more difficult to manufacture ?.

Thanks & Regards,

Look at multi-fuel engines. Common in military vehicles. The solution they did was basically to have both glow plugs and ingition (spark) plugs in diesel engines which work at higher compression ratios. A number of factors have to be adjusted. However, it should be noted tha CNG has additional issues in that the pressure vessel for the gas consumes a lot of space. Also it only works with adjustable fuel injection systems. Changing the fuel type takes a series of engine adjustments which can take from a few minutes to a couple hours depending on design. Lastly CNG power to fuel ratio is extremely low so it consumes much more fuel to give the same power out put as Gasoline and even more to diesel.

However, what does this have to do with IT architecture?
