Question Lawrence - In 1984, I befriended a woman in Iceland named Elsa Jonsdottir. We kept in touch when I returned to the States, but she actually became good friends with my sister. Something has happened, and a family member requested that she be contacted. But I don't have a clue where to start. Any ideas? I am most obliged!

Easily done, as the phone directory is online. In Iceland there are only two phone directories for the whole country - one for Reykjavík and one for the rest of the country. Note that unlike the US, names are listed by first name, not surname.
You must spell the name with accents, so you are looking for Elsa Jónsdóttir. There are 24 results, listed with the address, so if you know the town it shouldn't be too difficult.
