About Laurence Koster Expertise I can answer questions about Iceland - travelling in Iceland, going on holiday to Iceland, living in Iceland, Icelandic language, food, literature and films.
The obvious difference is that one tour uses mountain huts and the other uses tents. I don't know whether one or the other appeals more to you. It's for July or August, so the weather is OK for camping.
The Exodus website has a map of the trip, which is handy for visualising where you'll go. I didn't find this on the KEA site - maybe you can ask them to email you a map of the route.
Personally I would have thought it was nice to have an Icelandic guide, which KEA specifies. Don't worry, an Icelandic guide will speak fluent English.
Both trips go to Landmannalaugur, and one of them goes to Þórsmörk (Thorsmork), which is one of my favourite places in Iceland!
I noticed that KEA only provides one airport transfer for the whole group, meaning that if you book flights independently or your flight arrives earlier than the rest of the group you could end up hanging around at the airport, or you could just take airport coach service. Exodus doesn't say anything about this (perhaps in the trip notes).
I've taken two holidays with Exodus in my life. One of them, to Romania, was among the most memorable experiences in my life.
You didn't mention whether you're coming alone or with some friends. If you're with friends, and if you're capable of driving a 4x4 through rivers, you might even consider going by yourselves!!!
