Question
I'm thinking of visiting Iceland the second week of October, and was wondering what the weather is like.  Or what is the best month of the year to visit?

Thanks

Answer
You will find this page useful:
http://andvari.vedur.is/vedurfar/yfirlit/climate_info_en.html

This is a summary of Icelandic weather for tourists.

In October the temperature ranges from 2.2-6.8°C.

If you want the warmest weather, go in July and August. If you want the most daylight hours, go in June. If you want to see the northern lights, go in December and January.

If you plan to get around by bus, note that there are less options outside the summer season.

Whatever you decide, have fun,
Laurence
