Idaho - City of Rocks + Hot Springs

Question
Sue,

You helped me greatly already with planning trip to Redfish Lake Lodge. Here are some follow-ups:

1) How long time one need to spend in City of Rocks to get a good idea of what is this all about?
2) There are two commercial hot springs in general area of City of Rocks: Nat-Soo-Pah near Hollister + Miracle Hot Springs near Buhl (the last even offers accommodations). If we had to choose, which one would you reccommend?

Thanks a lot,
Alexei

Answer
I have lived in Idaho most of my life and never visited the City of Rocks.  Been close, but as for being there I really have no idea.  You could do an internet search.

Nat-Soo-Pah is only open in the summer months.  I have never been there, but seen the road on the many trips between Twin Falls and Jackpot, Nevada.

I've never heard of Miracle Hot Springs, but the fact that it's close to Buhl would be a good back-up for accomodations.

Not much of an expert am I!  Sorry I can't be of more help with these destinations....

Sue
