-----Question-----
I have tubers - don't know where I got it - that produce iris like plants, appx 48" tall, tubers appx 2 - 8" long (full sun, amended clay soil) but has never bloomed though plants appear healthy and have spread to cover 18" x 60" area.  I've tried several different types of fertilizer over past 5 years to no avail.  Any ideas?
-----Answer-----
Hello Nancy,
Are you asking for reasons why your Iris have not bloomed or are you asking if they are Iris?

Get back with me and we will work through your situation.

Thank you for your question,
Angie

Answer
Hello Nancy,

Are the "tubers" located at or slightly above soil level? These are called the foot. They are commonly 4 inches or so long. Do the leaves of the plant fan out from one end of the foot? Iris can sometimes make a ring of foliage with all the feet in the middle of the ring.

I won't be able to tell you why your plant isn't blooming until we figure out what it is. So get back with me and we will work this out.

Angie
