-----Question-----
My plamt is an indoor tree. Currently it is about five feet tall. Its leaves are dark green about five inches long by 3 inches wide. They are almost heart shaped with deep veining. They are rather thick and stiff. The trunk is currently about 1 1/2 inches across. If absolutely necessary, I'll try to provide a picture.

Mary,
Does you plant "bleed" a white sap if a leaf is torn?
Get back with me and we will continue to work on your ID.
Thank you for your question,

Answer Dear Mary,
These are the only two I can think of that would get to that size with such a large trunk. Please look up these names and see if either of them fit your plant. If not then I would please request a photo.
Please let me know how your search turns out.
Bo Tree, Sacred Fig (Ficus religiosa)
Coccoloba uvifera
