Question I am considering a move to Chicago from NYC for work. I am single female in 40's and would be looking for a place in dowtown -- would love a recommendation for neighborhoods that are reasonably priced -- I would look to rent. Office is next to the Omni Hotel.
Answer Hi Cynthia,
I'm not sure what "reasonably-priced" means to you, but if you're moving from NYC, you may be able to find quite a lot in the central Chicago neighborhoods that's reasonable to you, not so much so for us! If you look through apartment classifieds--the Chicago Reader (they're online too) is a good place to start--just look for "downtown," "Looop," "Near North Side," "West Loop," "South Loop", "River North", "Printers Row." They are all very close-in downtown neighborhooods.
