Immigration Issues/I-131

Question
How long does it usually take an I-131 to be processed and permission to travel abroad to be given?  My wife is here on a K-3 and is awaiting her I-485 interview scheduled for 6/21 in Cincinnati.  We want to travel to her home country of Poland on 6/29.  Would you suggest filing the I-131 to travel or will she be given permission to travel abroad at her interview.  Thanks much.

Answer
The only way she gets permission totravel at her interview is if everything is in order and the officer places a stamp in her passport evidencing that she is a permanet resident. If the security checks are not complete or the case is pended for any reason, she can not travel without parole.

The problem is that the I-131 usually takes 75-90 days unless there is an emergency.

Robert
