Answer
Hi,

The college will issue an I-20 to your son. As long as your son is a full-time student, he will be maintaining his status. Your son should confirm with the international student advisor at the William Patterson University that the University has notified the USCIS about his admission and enrollment at William Patterson University and he should similarly notify the international student advisor at Bergen Community College that he will be transferring to William Patterson University. If your son will be changing his residence, then he should fill out Form AR-11, which can be downloaded here: http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/ar-11.htm
