Immigration Issues/residence

Question
Hi,
I am a green card holder.
If I travel and I stay out of the US longer than 6 months but less than 12 months, how do I prove that I did not abandon my residence in the US?
Thanks for your answer.

Answer
Ch,
Traveling out of the US for over six months should not be an issue. Any commonsense evidence to show that you intend to remain a permanent residence of the US such as lease agreement, property, bank accounts, insurance, payment of US income taxes...will work.

Sincerely,
