Immigration Issues/change of status denied, chances for B2

Question
Dear Robert,
I was on H-2B visa in the last 3 season, leaving the US every year before my visa expired.Last year I applied for changing status to B2 (before my visa expired) but the USCIS denied it.So that I left the country in 10 days after I got the result.I am planning on to apply for a B2 visa now, from my home country (Hungary). Do I have any chance to get it, or is my denial count when they consider granting the visa?

Thank you in advance!

Zoltan

Answer
You have a chance, but they might ask for alot of proof of your ties to your country and your nonimmigrant intentions. The more ties you have and the more time you stay in your country before applying the better chance you have. Your record of coming and leaving on time is a plus.

Regards,

Robert
