DEAR SIR ,
IN OCTOBER 2010 ,I APPLIED FOR CANADA PR AS A SKILLED WORKER.IN FEBRARY 2011 MY FILE WAS TRANSFERRED TO DAMASCUS VISA OFFICE.ON MAY 9, I RECEIVED AN E MAIL ASKING SOME INFORMATION , BANK STATEMENTS,POLICE CERTIFICATES ETC.AT THE SAME DAY my E CAS CHANGED TO "IN PROCESS".I GATHERED THE REQUESTED DOCUMENTS AND SENT THEM BY ARAMEX.THE LETTER ARRIVED AT THE VISA OFFICE ON JUNE 1 .FROM THAT DAY ON I HAVE HAD NO NEWS FROM THEM WHILE MY FRIEND WHO APPLIED LATER THAN I DID HASALREADY GOT HER VISA.WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR ADVICE.

Thanks for your inquiry.

Please be advised that all the visa officer(s) has discretion in terms of processing application(s). They are not bound to meet any fixed deadline though they have two similar cases to process.

Note: the background checks/incomplete application or if officer seeks more information delays the processing times. Sometime, some officer(s) got huge bag log or other reason(s), so give them at least 4-6 months since your last correspondence else you can always write them for an update.
