Immigration Issues/GC when changed from H4-F1

Question
Hello Ajay,

My husband applied for GC in EB2 category. Our priority date is current. If we apply for GC now, when could we probably get GC.

Also, I recently changed my visa status from H-4 to F-1 in US itself. This status will expire on august 2013. Please let me know if this change of status thing affects my GC proces in anyway.

Thank you,
Swathi.

Answer
Dear Swathi:
On your first concern, I-485 processing could take anywhere between 4-6 months - if the PD remains current and the security check is completed w/o delay; and secondly, the COS from H4 to F1 would, in my opinion, not have any bearing on the processing of your I-485 Application.

good luck and best wishes,

Ajay Singh, Esq.
