Immigration Issues/UCI Number

Question
Hello Mr. Khosla,

I have a question regarding a UCI number for naturalized Canadian citizens: I've lost my original Record of Landing which had my UCI written on it, and I was wondering whether there's a way for me to get this number without having to re-order a copy of this document, since it takes up to 6 months.

Sincerely,

Oleg Lurye

Answer
Dear Oleg,

Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, there is no other way to get your ID. You must submit an application with $30 along with the following forms:

This application includes the following items:

Verification of Entry [IMM 5009]  (PDF, 89 KB)
Supplementary Form [IMM 5541]  (PDF, 102 KB)
Payment Form [IMM 5542]  (PDF, 79 KB)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/certcopy.asp

It usually takes around 3 months.
