Question
hello again
i wanted to know that after i apply for Canadian citizenship and lets say that i were accepted ... i mean  they asked me to come to canada ok ..can i postpone it if i had to finish something before i go ?
thank you

Answer
Dear Alaa,

Thanks for your inquiry.

Usually, when you apply for a citizenship, you will receive a Notice to Appear for a Citizenship Test on the date and time at the address in the Notice, and take the written citizenship. In case, you don't show up then CIC make a second attempt to ask you to appear for the test.

If you pass the test and meet all the requirements, you will receive a Notice to Appear to Take the Oath of Citizenship. If you have any valid reason(s), you should send a written letter to CIC and explain when you want to sit for either a test or oath. Usually, they accommodate applicants.
