Immigration Issues/Filing for my wife

Question
Hi..
We got married in december in Jamaica.  I'm now in the process of preparing the I-30 forms.  What can I expect the process to be like and what time frame should we be looking at for my wife to get to come to the U.S.  Someone was telling me about a K-3 visa .. How does that work and how much would it expedite the process.   Any other paperwork that I need to know about.. I know this is a lot, but we are anxious to get a handle on expecations for this process..  Thank you for all your help in advance.

Answer
I-130 process will take 9-12 months. It goes to Service Center and then when approved goes to the NVC and then over to Embassy for interview. You can file I-130 and then after getting receipt file for K-3 using I-129F form. This will bring her here in 4-6 months from K-3 filing.

Robert
