Question
Hi,
Currently I am in my senior year at a univercity as an international student(on a F1 visa).I have a good idea which I would like to cash on.Therefore I want to form a manager-managed LLC before I graduate. My manager who is a US citizen will run day to day operations.
I was wondering if this senario sounds possible, better yet is it legal? if not is there anything you can suggest me.
Thank you so much for taking questions like this.I appreciate it.

Answer
Hi Kaan:

This will be OK. Anyone in any status can open a company or make contracts or buy property or sue in court, etc.

If you will be employed in day-to-day operations, however, you will need valid employment-based status such as OPT (after graduating; see the international student advisor at your university) or H-1B status.
