Question
Hello Ajay,

I contacted you couple of times earlier too and I always appreciate your advise. I need your advise in following matter :

I am a conditional permanent resident and I want to file for green card for my parents (India) , my questions are :

1) Can i file for them , since I am a conditional resident?

2) Can my parents are allowed to file for visitor visa during their  green card processing.

Thanks

Amit

Answer
Hi Amit,

You can sponsor your parents only if you are a U.S. citizen. The family categories are listed here: http://www.h1b1.com/sponsor.htm

Once you are a U.S. citizen and sponsor your parents, they will probably not be issued a visitor visa.
